Last year, the annual Leicestershire County Show welcomed around 12,000 visitors to its new venue in Market Harborough’s 85 acre showground.

The one day event in 2016 was buzzing with people of all ages. Families and friends congregated to experience the range of wonderful stalls and entertainment that was taking place at the event. This year, to make sure visitors can make the most of their visit and get the opportunity to visit all the stalls they want to visit, organisers have extended the event for over 2 days, on the August bank holiday from the 26th to the 27th.

The County Show will include events and stands for all ages ranging from a traditional fun fair, to keep the children (and maybe even adults) amused, to a classic car and tractor rally. Over 50 craft stands made an appearance last year joining the many range of shows from traders and exhibiters whilst selling their own farmed produce for visitors to try out.

Visitors of last year’s event reported that they were extremely impressed with the show’s celebration of rural life, with livestock and equine classes, exhibitions, demonstrations and a host of rural-themed entertainment. Organisers also explained how pleased they were with the number of animals that were entered into the classes and hope to encourage even more traders and exhibitors entering this year.

“With Leicestershire County Show’s first ever two day event, we hope to exceed the amount of visitors that experienced last year’s event and give the opportunity for all to see all the events and stalls they want to without being pushed to the back. Parking has also been adjusted after feedback from last year described delays in getting parked up, so we hope for much speedier access this year” comments David Young, Leicestershire County Show director. “We hope to encourage all visitors, traders and exhibitors to join in the annual event and experience our wonderful countryside and agriculture first hand.”

Confirmed acts so far at this year’s event are Broke FMX, a freestyle motorcross stunt display hoping to wow the audience with their skills, and Sheridan the Sheepdog, who has also appeared in the main ring at Crufts, will be venturing around the show on his trike supplying entertainment for all.

Opportunities to sponsor the event are also available if you want to maximise your presence at the 2017 show. For more information on becoming a sponsor or exhibiting at this event call Ashling Toolan on 01858 439 086 or find more details on this site.
